Christopher Columbus: Christopher Columbus was born on October 31, 1451, in Genoa, Spain. It was the explorer who discovered the American Continent. Christopher Columbus, whose father was a cheese maker, worked as an assistant to help his father in his youth. On his first voyage to Japan in 1492, Christopher Columbus accidentally found himself in the American continent called the New World. Thus, he became the first explorer to set foot in North America. Columbus made 3 trips to the new world. He sailed to America on the ship “Niña”. Columbus’s name and legacy are still debated today. He became a respected personality for a long time after his death. Even in Latin American countries, October 12 is Columbus Day

Christopher Columbus: Christopher Columbus, 31 Ekim 1451’de İspanya’nın Cenova kentinde doğdu. Amerika Kıtasını keşfeden kaşifti. Babası peynirci olan Christopher Columbus, gençliğinde babasına yardım etmek için asistan olarak çalıştı. Kristof Kolomb, 1492’de Japonya’ya yaptığı ilk yolculuğunda, yanlışlıkla kendisini Yeni Dünya denen Amerika kıtasında buldu. Böylece Kuzey Amerika’ya ayak basan ilk kaşif oldu.
